What is Livingstone?

Livingstone is an offline map and journal for hunters, hikers, and adventurers. It helps you plan routes, mark places, and keep a map linked journal with notes, photos, and recordings, even when you do not have an internet connection.

Does Livingstone work offline?

Yes. Livingstone is designed to work without signal. You can view saved maps, routes and markers, and create journal or gamebook entries while offline. When you have signal again and are signed in, your data will sync automatically.

Do I need an account?

An account is required to sync your data across devices and to access Pro features and unlimited usage.

Without an account, your data is stored only on your device.

What's the difference between free and pro?

The free version allows you to use the core features of Livingstone.

Livingstone Pro removes limits and allows unlimited maps, routes, markers, journal entries, media uploads and sends.

How does the billing work?

Payments for Livingstone Pro are handled securely by Stripe. Livingstone does not store your payment information. Your Pro subscription is linked to your account and will be available when you sign in on a new device.

What are gamebook entries?

Gamebook entries are journal entries linked to a specific location on the map. They let you record game shot, sightings, observations, and notes exactly where they happened.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your data belongs to you. Livingstone only stores your information to run the service and does not sell your personal data.
